How do I view a different date?
The highlighted date on the calendar to the left is the actual date being viewed. By default you are viewing today's date. To change the date being viewed click on the date you want to view on the calendar to the left. When you change dates your level of viewing detail remains the same.

How do I view events in only one category?
All calendar events belong to a category. To view events only in one category select that category from the drop down list to the left. To resume viewing all categories click on "Remove Filter" or select "All" from the category drop down list.

What is the difference in the event details level?
Event information can be displayed at different levels of detail based on your preferences. To change you level of detail just click on the appropriate radio button at the top of the calendar. The Quick List shows a minimum amount of detail (event title, speaker/performer, date/time, and location). Summary provides all the information in the quick list as well as a short description of the event and contact information if it is available. The Details level of viewing displays all the information available for the event.

How do I view additional details about an event?
If you are in the quick list or summary view you can click on the event title to see additional details about an event in a new pop-up window. The details view shows all the information available for an event. Some events may have their own Web pages that you can go to for additional information. If these pages are available there will be a link to them from the details view.

How do I submit an event?
Events can be submitted for publication in the Events Calendar by current students, faculty, and staff with a valid Skidmore College user account. All events require approval by the calendar administrator prior to publication. To submit an event click on the "Submit Event" link at the top of the calendar and follow the instructions. If you don't have a valid user account and have a campus event that should be on the calendar send an email to: info@skidmore.edu.

Whom do I contact if I have questions about an event?
Most calendar events have contact information listed that is viewable from the summary and details view. If there is no contact information displayed send an email to: info@skidmore.edu.

Why do I need the Flash 7 player?
The Events Calendar makes use of some of the newest Macromedia Flash technology that requires the Flash 7 browser plugin. To get the latest Flash version go to the Macromedia Flash download page and follow the on screen instructions for your browser. The download and installation only takes a few minutes.
